Message is: I am doing this entry for Rodney, he needs verification of incidents for a VA PTSD claim. Like someone that might remember that Phan Thiet was overrun twice and the possible dates this happened. His MOS was 12B20 Combat Engr. Anyone that might remember him or his group going out TDY with Charlie Company 101st Airborne. He was known as the Demolition Man and occasionally guys would go to him to get some C-4 to use to heat up chow. He also did some time near or on Budda Mtn. He had 6 months left in service when he got back to the World and was stationed at Fort Belvior, VA in May, 1969 til his discharge on Nov 28th, 1969. There he was with HHC 91st Engr Bn, 1st US Army and on his discharge date was given a Bronze Star for his service in VN by the Bn CO, a Lt. Col. (if anyone might know who that might have been, would help). His discharge paper was signed by a Capt. Thomas Scholtiz (Asst AG), so if anyone knows of his whereabouts that would help also. Message is: looking for anyone in the 264th Trans Comp. or 5th Special Forces A team at Duc phu (on Red mountain) who was there when the ammo dump was destroyed, also there, was the 101st Airborne and 1st Calv Air Group. Very important as my military records were destroyed there. When the Va Hospital claims group (Viet Nam Veterans of America) submitted my disability claims I have been told by the VA that this is just a story I've made up, That there was no ammo dump explosion at Duc phu. I have no records therefore it never happened. I would like to fins a person who was with me in a small bunker (until it was blown down) during the dump explosion, I'm not sure of the spelling but his name sounded out was Perawisnik. If anuyone knows his whereabouts, or was there during the dump explosion PLEASE contact me.
