Message is: On 26 December 1969 my friend, Ltjg Walter Henry Kosky, was returning to CVA-43 in injured A-6 Intruder. As the plane reached the port side of the carrier, Kosky, along with co-pilot Ltjg Trowbridge attempted to make a final approach turn but went straight down. They ejected, but chutes did not have time to open. Trowbridge's body was not recovered but Kosky was brought back aboard with his head missing. We used to run on the flight together and become good friends. 32 years later the event is as vivid as it was in 1969. I was in VF-151 maintenance control and shipped out before you crossed the line.
