Message is: My husband is Britt McKinley Mulhollem, he served in RVN during 68-69, mostly in Pleiku (Camp Holloway) He was riding on a helo during a 'shake down' flight when they were hit by ground fire. no one was seriously injured and they returned to Camp Holloway. When everyone counted fingers and toes; someone noticed that Britt was bleeding slightly, so he was ordered (by c.o. I assume) to go get the wounds cleaned up and stitched if necessary. He says he does not remember if he went to the AirForce Hospital, or just the Camp medical tent, but anyway he was given some first aide , some antibiotics and told to return to his unit. He says he does not remember going back to have the stitches removed, (removed them himself!) We are in the process of trying to get CRSC benefit (combat related special compensation) in order for him to qualify we were told we needed records of the incident. We don't even know if there ARE records (since it was minor in nature) but Congressman Ric Kellers office says , there HAS to be a record, they had no luck finding the incident report, or the med. report they say that it would help to find a date (he does not remember the specific date!) we are looking for anyone who worked in the AirForce Base Hospital who might be able to tell us where to look for these records. We are currently filling out form to get morning reports for the 604th, but hope someone knows how this would have been handled (minor wound) we know it is a stretch that we can get these records, but then I found hospital records for an injury he received in ROTC ( the hospital name was even changed!) so know it is doable! but need your help guys thanks and WELCOME HOME Karen Mulhollem for Britt
