Message is: I have been searching for a Marine nicknamed "Tennessee", and I believe one of his proper names was "Milton". He was shot through the chest in Nov. of 1969 when "Suicide Charley" of the 7th Marines were in the Que Son mountains. Tennessee suffered a sucking chest wound and his evacuation took several hours, during which he showed extraordinary toughness and courage. I have written a story about the ordeal that was published in "Military" magazine. I am in contact with many of the platoon members and we would love to hear from him. By the way, the timing here is all the more coincidental, because it was almost exactly 30 years ago that this incident occurred, and the name of the story I wrote had to do with thanksgiving.
