Message is: I have an unique request. I was an entertainer during the years 1967 and 1968 in south Vietnam, performing at almost in all the US bases. We even performed once at Dong Ho, near the DMZ at a make shift hospital. My band was from Sri Lanka, only entertainers from that part of the world, and we had a beautiful female singer, two go go dancers, and four boys, and the name of the band was "The Savages". Everybody in the band sang and we were a big hit at the US bases, and at times doing more than 5 encores for troops of 5000 to 10000 in open air. Chu Lai,monkey mountain in Danang, Plequi, long Bein, Ku chi, Phanrang are some the places I still vividly remember. I was wondering if any of your veterans remember my band and our performances, and there were many times our performances were recorded live. Also, someime in 1967 we performed live on USA operated TV station in Saigon(black&white). There were also many photos and polaroids pictures taken by troops of our perform! ances. Hence, my request is if any one recollect my band, then please email me and if they have any photos or tapes I would love to purchase them.
